Platomics GmbH is searching for an exceptional individual to join its cloud platform development team. As a Software Project Manager you will lead a talented team of engineers developing a platform that enables application developers to create innovative "omics" analysis solutions. You will work closely with R&D scientists, software, database, and outside teams to deliver cutting-edge analysis, visualization, hybrid cloud deployment and GUI solutions. We are seeking an innovative leader who can excel in a fast-moving environment and inspires colleagues with deep technical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Lead software development projects on a cloud based "omics" data analysis cloud platform
- Lead design and implementation of software tools developed by the group and provide technical expertise and mentoring to junior team members
- Ensure software development is compliant with ISO certification procedures
- Ensure adherence to enterprise quality software development best practices
- Write formal, detailed software requirements specifications and software documentation
- Manage requirements priority, changes, and planning for future product versions in a scalable and sustainable design
- Support overall project management such as sprint and release planning
Required Skills & Experience:
- BS, or MS, or PhD in Computer Science
- Minimum 2 years experience in a senior software engineer or project management role
- Experience of software systems deployed in the Life Sciences industry highly desirable
- Expertise in J2EE and Java and/or .NET and C#
- Experience with web application technologies - HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Strong object oriented programming
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing successful teams
- Experience with Docker, OpenStack, NoSQL Databases
- Strong background in Software as a service, familiarity with AWS
- Excellent communication skills
Salary / offer
EUR 3500 “Brutto” per month, 14x annually; more negotiable depending on skills & experience. Platomics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
