Job description
You work closely together with the executives of R&D, as well as internal and external Software Engineers to ensure the software written today becomes the building blocks of tomorrow´s solutions of opvizor. Your focus is on designing and structuring our future applications. The task requires a wide degree of creativity and independent judgment - relying on extensive experience - to accomplish our objectives.

- …set long-term architectural strategies that act as roadmaps for future development.
- …provide input to Product Management for the Vision/Scope Documents.
- … define how the products will adhere to existing strategies, standards, and guidelines.
- …work with lead engineers to create functional specifications and implementation designs.
- …participate in the development of technical specifications, driving any new technologies.
- …previews new ideas and technologies and examine their usefulness to the company’s goals.
- …work collaboratively with QA to ensure development standards.
- …are able to work independently and manage time effectively
- …work with a mixed team in different locations
- …are able to direct others through team leadership, project leadership or 1-on-1 mentoring.
- … are effectively communicating to both a non-technical and technical audience at all levels in the organization.
Your Skills
- 3+ years experience as senior developer/tech lead in the area of Enterprise applications
- Two or more years experience as a development lead or manager with experience specifying the software architecture for at least one product that completed the development process.
- Java, REST, Hibernate, GWT
- Database experience (NoSQL, relational databases, in-memory-databases) in architecture and design
- Programming to external CLI and API, as well as product internal API
- Practical daily experience with wide area of operating systems. Good knowledge of recent Windows and Linux OS
- VMware knowledge is very helpful
- Storage Array (EMC, NetApp etc. ) knowledge is helpful
