REEEP is seeking a dedicated, pro-active and flexible part- or full-time intern (depending on candidate’s availability), to support the Systems and ICT Team and to grow with REEEP.

The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) invests in clean energy markets in low- and middle-income countries to generate energy access, improve lives and economic opportunities, build sustainable markets, and combat climate change. REEEP is a Quasi-International Organisation under Austrian law and is rapidly expanding in influence and impact. REEEP has a young and results-oriented team at its International Secretariat in Vienna, Austria and cooperates closely with international partner organisations.
About the Systems and ICT Team
As part of REEEP Operations, the Systems and ICT Team forms a key asset for REEEP’s innovation and strategic growth. The team’s responsibilities include designing, implementing and maintaining knowledge systems, ICT and institutional infrastructure enhancements supporting all activities of the organization. In addition, the Systems and ICT Team ensures adequate access to equipment for REEEP staff, as well as compliance with data protection.
About the role
As part of REEEP’s Operations team, the intern will work in close collaboration with the ICT Administrator in streamlining ICT infrastructure management and user support. This includes the definition and set up of an ITAM process and system as well as the provision of system administration, first level support and additional guidance on IT usage to all staff.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a person with the following qualifications and experience:
- Studying for a Bachelor’s (final year preferred) or Master’s degree in: Information Technology, IT Infrastructure Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Solid command on an administrative level of Microsoft products, including Office Suite, Office 365 and Windows 10; knowledge of other computer and phone OSs is an asset
- Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) concepts like ITIL and IT Asset Management (ITAM)
- Work experience with MS Azure (AzureAD in specific) and MDM solutions is an asset
- Pro-active, service-oriented team player and problem solver
- Solid interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Excellent command of English, REEEP’s working language, knowledge of German or other languages is an asset
- Previous experience or knowledge of data management and analysis, systems testing and customer relationship management systems (CRM) is an asset
- Work experience in project management or related tasks is an asset
What REEEP offers
For a 40 h/week full-time intern position REEEP offers a monthly salary of EUR 600,- (gross, paid 12 times per year, subject to Austrian social security deduction, currently free of income tax due to REEEP’s status as “Quasi International Organisation”). It further includes five weeks paid leave per year, as well as an average of 14 Austrian and UN holidays per annum. A part-time position will be pro-rated accordingly. The envisaged start date is as soon as possible, preferably during the first quarter of 2019, and the envisaged duration will lie between 3 and 6 months.
The office location is the Vienna International Centre (‘UNO City’) in Vienna, Austria. REEEP is not in the position to cover relocation costs or any other travel costs incurred, e.g. for job interviews.
Due to its special legal status, applicants must have a valid residency permit for Austria/EU, but do not require a work permit.
