Currently we are looking for a qualified candidate to fill:
E-Commerce Internship
Interns will handle general inquiries from members via telephone, email and Live Chat. With training, you’ll become an expert on “how to” questions about site features, troubleshooting/reporting member problems, and managing member reports of abuse on violations of terms of service. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in product development meetings to ensure new products are member driven and then communicate with our members regarding these new site products and features. Online Marketing Support Reps also play a key role in communicating member feedback to product managers and the engineering team to help increase member retention and acquisition efforts. You’d be participating in off line community events representing company and the support department.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role has:
Online customer service experience.
Prior experience working in online policy enforcement, dispute resolution or marketplace integrity preferred, but not required.
Excellent verbal skills for clear communication (reading/writing).
An even-temper, with the ability to objectively enforce site policy.
Creative thinking skills.
An end-to-end understanding of the e-commerce shopping experience.
Ability to work well within a team structure, but also with a high level of autonomy.
Ability to multitask well.
Membership in several Social Networking Sites.
Bi-lingual is a plus (esp German)
Ability to occasionally travel to and from our Brooklyn, NY headquarters and our satellite support center in Hudson, NY.

Duration: 6-18 month
