    The Institute of Information Systems Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) is offering one fulltime position for PhD students for three years. The candidate will work on the research topic "digital twins" in the area of agriculture.

    Expected qualificatons:

    - For this position, a very good Diploma or Master university degree in computer science, informatics, business informatics, or a related discipline is required.

    - Education in agriculture and profound knowledge in software development, analytical thinking and systems design recommended.

    - In-depth interest in highly interdisciplinary scientific problems and the motivation for independent and goal-oriented research in collaboration with other researchers.

    - Very good programming skills (Java)

    - Very good scientific communication and writing skills (in Englisch and preferably in German)

    The selected candidates will be employed fulltime by the Vienna University of Technology. Entry level salary as a pre-doc researcher (40 hours/week) is covered by level B1 of the Austrian Collective Agreement for university staff with a minimum salary of currently EUR 2731.00 EUR/month gross, 14 times/year.

    The Institute for Systems Engineering at the TU Wien is looking for a dedicated developer to participate in R&D projects in the field of "Digital Agriculture".

    The tasks include software development in a team, i.e. definition, design, development, testing and documentation of software. Prerequisites are very good knowledge in Java and/or C#, Spring (Boot), SQL and web development.

    The employment contract is 30-40h/week with a salary according to agreement (minimum level according to collective agreement for universities with a masters degree - € 34.890,--/a, overpayment according to education and qualification). We offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to write a diploma/master thesis/PhD.
