  • 24h BEST Engineering Competition

    Hey!

    The topic was to build a 'machine' out of given materials, driven by water or wind and generate the highest voltage possible with a dynamo it was coupled to. The topic before was for example to build something to trigger a domino effect with given materials.
    The topic is always announced on the day of the competition. Hope to see you there!

    Hello!
    Do you want to test your engineering skills dexterity and creativity in practice? Then you should not hesitate and apply for our 24 hours engineering competition. It is not only an opportunity to test yourself in a challenging environment and in skills you usually cannot test in the normal university curriculum, but also a valuable chance to get into contact with one of the companies who contribute to this event. There are big names among them like Microsoft, Cisco and Strabag.
    Dates: 25.11. and 26.11.

  • BEST events in autumn season 2010 - Board of European Students of Technology

    Did you miss our events in summer? Were not among the lucky few
    selected? No problem! There are again plenty of events during autumn season!
    You can attend an academical course, learn something useful, have a
    lot of fun - and possibly even get credits for your study! Choose your favourite
    topic, like mining, soft skills or wine making! Everywhere from
    Trondheim and Riga to Messina and Valladolid. And of course, as our
    tradition commands - your expenses for academical events are limited to
    your travel costs and a fee of at most 45EUR (sometimes even free!)
    Yet if you are rather searching for a pure adventure before starting with
    the winter semester we have also a couple of leisure events in our offer.

    You thought there is only beaches in Spain and mountains in Austria? You
    couldn't be more wrong! Apply and you will find out yourself while
    discovering Crimea. If you like it the extreme way, let's go for rafting,
    canyoning, trekking and much more in still summery hot Turkey!
    Are you more into the wild west style, horseback riding, camp fire and so
    on? Did I say wild WEST? Ouuups! This time it is EAST -
    Russian steppe instead of American prairie, south Ural instead of Rocky
    mountains and of course some "Russian extras" on the top of it.

  • BEST 24h Engineering Competition

    Do you already feel you want to escape from daily routine? Then take part at our 24h Engineering Competition! So what is it all about? A BEST Engineering Competition is about Challenge, Teamwork, Technical Task, Creativity and a lot of Fun. During the event you’ll use your technical, social and communication skills to complete a specific task in teams of 4 students. The outcome of the competition is a device that has to perform the needed actions to solve the problem. To make it even more challenging you’ll have this time exactly 24 hours to fulfill the task.:thumb:

    Hey people,

    You feel bored and look for new challenges? You want to meet new people and have an awesome time with them? We have a solution for you:
    BEST Vienna proudly presents our next Local Engineering Competition! Taking place from the 15.-16.11 at the Vienna University of Technology

    A BEST Engineering Competition is about Challenge, Teamwork, Technical Task, Creativity and a lot of Fun. During the event the teams of students use their technical, social and communication skills to complete a specific task. And of course it is not just for fun, you can also win a lot of cool prizes!

    And the best thing about it: It's free. Participants don't pay anything. You will be provided with all the needed materials as well as with food and drinks, which means you get free lunch and dinner during the event.

  • BEST Vienna summer course

    Hey people!

    We proudly present this year’s BEST Vienna summer course „Robot: Walk the Line“, which will take place from 31th July till 14th august and will be about robotics!

    As student of the Vienna University of Technology you have the unique opportunity to participate as local participant. The fee, which includes all the papers, 2 meals a day and the expenses for the social framework program is 100€. As local participant you are part of the group of students coming from all over Europe: you can participate in the classes (worth 3ECTS), the activities and certainly- the parties!

    We'll only take 10 local students, so make sure you apply up until 2nd of July! Send your motivation letter to vienna@BEST.eu.org!
