Web Developer - Backend (m/f)
Play.fm (http://www.play.fm) is one of the biggest online streaming service for DJ mixes, based in Vienna, Austria. Since 2004 we have been growing steadily, serving DJs and their fans tuning in from 180 countries. We have started building a completely new site recently and are currently looking for talented people to join our team in Vienna.
Your Role
- Develop the backend parts of the new Play.fm, based on PHP5, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB and other open source, state-of-the-art technologies
- Work closely with developers and sysops on performance, stability and scalability
Requirements
- several years of professional experience with PHP5
- great SQL skills, including optimization of complex queries
- experience with MVC frameworks, eg Symfony 2
- you like working in a startup environment
- you like the concept of Play.fm
Bonus
- experience with high traffic websites
- knowledge of queue based architectures
- experience with datamining and analysis of large datasets
- speak German (we all do)
