Von 3. bis 5. September wird in Wien der "Eurographics Workshop on Visual Computing for Biology and Medicine" organisiert (http://www.vcbm.org).
Der Workshop wird im Alten AKH stattfinden (Hoersaal D http://event.univie.ac.at/index.php?id=140383), und es werden insgesamt ca. 70 Teilnehmer erwartet. Für eine reibungslosen Ablauf des Workshops werden noch Student Volunteers gesucht, welche dann mit verschiedenen Aufgaben betraut werden (z.B. Vorbereitung der Registrierung, Catering, technischer Support, Kontrolle der Ausweise, etc).
Dies ist eine ideale Möglichkeit, Einblick in aktuelle Themen von Visualisierung medizinischer und biologischer Daten zu bekommen, und eine wissenschaftliche Konferenz aus der Nähe zu erleben. Neben den organisatorischen Aufgaben während der Konferenz gilt für alle Student Volunteers freier Zugang zu allen Vorträgen und anderen Konferenz-Events. This year the Eurographics Workshop on Visual Computing for Biology and Medicine will be held in Vienna, September 3-5, 2014 (http://www.vcbm.org).
The workshop venue will be the area of Altes AKH, Anatomiehoersaal (Hoersaal D http://event.univie.ac.at/index.php?id=140383), and the expected number of participants will be about 70. For running this workshop we would need student volunteers that would help us with various tasks such as the registration preparation, organizing the catering, technical assistance, badge check at the door, etc.
In case you are interested in visualization of medical and biological data, this is the right event for you! As a volunteer you will be assigned to some small tasks during the event and for that you will have access to all the sessions at the workshop entirely free of charge.
