hab den seit einiger zeit beim einloggen unter fedora core 1: dev/dsp0 kann nicht initialisiert werden. vermutlich lnach vornahme von updates im bereich sound (alsamixer oder so). so weit ich weiß nutzt fedora core 1 noch oss-soundsystem. treiber ist eingebunden findet aber soundkarte nicht.

hmm...:confused: das gefällt mir nicht.
Schau unter /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2129.nptl/kernel/sound nach, in einem der Subdirectories sollte ens1371.ko sein, oder?
Wenn ja, dann versuch "modprobe ens1371".
Wenn nein, wäre es vielleicht am einfachsten alsa neu zu kompilieren und installieren, ist an sich ganz einfach.
Außerdem wäre vielleicht ein Auszug aus /var/log/boot.log ganz praktisch. Du musst nicht den ganzen file posten, weil er wahrscheinlich ziemlich lang ist. Such nur die Stelle, wo OSS oder alsa gestartet wird. -

musste das alsa-driver rpm erst noch mit rpmbuild --rebuild für meinen kernel backen+installieren. alsamixer unmute und es funzte ordentlich. -
Driver aus einer Package zu installieren fuktioniert aufgrung unterschiedlicher Kernel-Versionen eben nicht so einfach.
Da ist es schon fast einfacher alsa selbst zu kompilieren:
1) alsa-driver downloaden, entpacken
2) ./configure
3) make install
4) alsaconf
